Tom handles cases in all areas of matrimonial and family law, including divorce, valuation, custody, support, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
Prior to entering the field of matrimonial law, Tom practiced investment funds law at Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP and Proskauer Rose LLP, representing investment managers and investors in connection with all matters related to the management of, and investment in, private equity funds and hedge funds.
Prior to his law career, Tom worked in finance and high net worth private clients asset management.
Tom's professional background provides him with a unique and powerful skill set for understanding complex financial assets and investment portfolios, and for analyzing, explaining and negotiating such assets and portfolios.
Tom received his law degree from Emory University School of Law, where he won the Henry Quillian Prize for outstanding achievement and distinction in contracts and commercial law. He earned his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania, where he won the Elizabeth F. Flower Prize for best undergraduate paper in philosophy and was the second-slowest member of the men's cycling team.
Tom is co-chair of the Junior Committee of the National Book Foundation, a member of the Junior Committee of Citymeals on Wheels, and a Trustee of the Philomathean Endowment Trust.
